Grayson Lakes Book Club Brings Neighbors Together on September 23
For Grayson Lakes residents who enjoy a good book and the chance to spend time with neighbors, one of the community’s regular gatherings is returning this month.
The Grayson Lakes Book Club will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, continuing a neighborhood tradition that combines reading, conversation and a little social time close to home.
The group is made up of neighborhood women who read a mix of novels and nonfiction books. Meetings are typically held on the fourth Wednesday evening of each month in members’ homes, giving the club a personal, informal feel rather than the atmosphere of a larger public event.
More Than a Book Discussion
While the selected book gives each meeting its focus, the evening is also designed as an opportunity for Grayson Lakes neighbors to visit with one another.
Meetings generally begin with social time and refreshments before moving into the book discussion. For longtime residents, that can mean another chance to reconnect with familiar faces. For newer residents, the Grayson Lakes Book Club can offer an easy way to meet people within the neighborhood through a shared interest.
Because the club alternates between fiction and nonfiction, members also have the opportunity to explore different authors, subjects and perspectives throughout the year.
How Grayson Lakes Residents Can Learn More
The Sept. 23 meeting is scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. The specific meeting location and current book selection are available by contacting Jean Bays at jandb@entouch.net.
For residents searching for a Grayson Lakes book club, neighborhood social group or local community activity, the monthly gathering offers a simple way to spend an evening reading, talking and building connections with people who live nearby.
Small neighborhood traditions like this often become part of what makes a community feel familiar — not because they are large events, but because they create regular opportunities for neighbors to know one another beyond a passing wave from the driveway.
