According to the Chaddick Institute for Metropolitan Development at DePaul University, companies like RedCoach and Vonlane have increased service in Texas, with RedCoach adding stops in Cypress and The Woodlands and Vonlane expanding to 8–9 daily trips on major Texas Triangle routes, including Dallas–Houston. Vonlane has also positioned its Dallas stop near Love Field, making it more convenient for travelers connecting to flights.

However, challenges remain. Houston’s downtown Greyhound Station has shut down, forcing operations to relocate six miles away to the Magnolia Park Transit Center. Additionally, while high-frequency routes between McAllen and Houston remain strong, service disruptions have led to speculation that FlixBus and Greyhound may be engaging in a cross-selling arrangement to maintain ridership levels.
