Gillaspia Named New Principal of Nottingham Country Elementary
Katy ISD is proud to announce the appointment of Krista Gillaspia as the new principal of Nottingham Country Elementary, effective January 6, 2025. With nearly 20 years of experience in education, Gillaspia brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for fostering student success.
“I am thrilled to be back at Nottingham Country as principal and I look forward to leading the students and staff,” said Gillaspia. “I am excited to rekindle old relationships and foster new ones with students, staff, and families to nurture and lead our young Knights on their path to excellence."
Gillaspia’s educational career includes roles as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal. She was recently named the district’s Elementary Assistant Principal of the Year for 2023, a testament to her dedication and leadership in shaping the educational experience for students.

Dr. Ken Gregorski, Superintendent of Katy ISD, expressed confidence in Gillaspia’s leadership, stating, “Mrs. Gillaspia is an experienced leader who will build upon the culture of student and staff achievement at Nottingham. I anticipate that she will continue the long legacy of strong leadership there, and I look forward to seeing the positive impact she will make.”
Currently serving as the assistant principal at Hayes Elementary, Gillaspia is set to transition into her new role at Nottingham Country Elementary in January. Her background includes a Master of Science in Educational Management from the University of Houston Clear Lake and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin.
With her experience, vision, and dedication to the community, Krista Gillaspia is poised to continue the tradition of excellence at Nottingham Country Elementary and lead the school into an exciting new chapter.
