Georgetown Colony POA Honors May Yard of the Month

May 06 2026

Residents driving through Georgetown Colony this month may notice a standout home on Old Tybee Road that reflects the pride many homeowners take in maintaining the neighborhood’s appearance and character.

The Georgetown Colony Property Owners Association has recognized Linda Johnson of 14518 Old Tybee Road as the community’s Yard of the Month, honoring the home’s well-maintained landscaping and curb appeal that continue to enhance the neighborhood’s aesthetics.

The recognition is more than just a compliment about landscaping. In communities like Georgetown Colony, attractive and cared-for properties help reinforce neighborhood pride, contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for families and visitors, and support the overall appearance that residents value throughout the area.

Neighbors and community leaders also offered special recognition to Jesse Valdez for his continued efforts helping fellow residents maintain their yards and outdoor spaces. His volunteer spirit and willingness to assist neighbors like Linda Johnson highlight the kind of community-minded support that helps strengthen Georgetown Colony beyond property lines.

From neatly maintained lawns to healthy landscaping and thoughtful upkeep, Yard of the Month recognitions often serve as reminders of the shared investment residents make in preserving the beauty and identity of their neighborhood.

As Georgetown Colony continues to grow and evolve, small acts of care — whether through maintaining a front yard or lending a helping hand to a neighbor — help create the sense of connection many residents say makes the community feel like home.

Residents are encouraged to continue recognizing neighbors who go above and beyond to improve the appearance and spirit of Georgetown Colony.
