Gatsby Glass Brings Custom Glass Solutions and Community Spirit to Katy
In the growing Katy area, a local resident and entrepreneur, Russell Douglas, has taken the initiative to enhance the experience of custom glass solutions with his new venture, Gatsby Glass. Bringing a unique charming heightened aesthetic to the industry, Gatsby Glass opened its doors on February 19, 2024.
Douglas, originally from Arlington, VA, is well-seasoned with a rich educational background. A graduate of Northern Virginia Community College, he furthered his studies at the University of Phoenix and Cornell University. Before his foray into the glass industry, he held an executive-level cyber security position, honing his leadership, project management, and innovative problem-solving skills over two decades.
According to Douglas, he decided to purchase Gatsby Glass due to their national recognition and excellent support. "As a resident of Katy, I understand the importance of being a pillar in the community and take pride in building a better place for our families," said Douglas.

"I enjoy putting a smile on our customers' faces and providing them with a job well done," he says.
Gatsby Glass takes a quality-centric approach, forging strategic partnerships with a commitment to innovation. Offering a wide range of commercial and residential glass services, including window replacements, glass railings, glass enclosures, and their unique Smart Glass solution, Gatsby Glass is poised to cater to a variety of client needs.
Douglas’s dedication to local involvement doesn’t stop at his business. A resident of Katy himself, he enjoys traveling with his 10-year-old son and involves himself deeply with local nonprofits, such as the Katy, Fort Bend, and West Houston Lions Foundation, and Habitat for Humanity.

Currently, Gatsby Glass is the sole franchise of its kind in the Houston Metropolitan area. On March 20, Gatsby Glass celebrated a ribbon-cutting ceremony organized by the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce, reinforcing its commitment to the community. Douglas believes in becoming a pillar in the community and hopes Gatsby Glass's presence will inspire similar growth throughout the area.
