Officer Samaniego, a Dallas native, brings a unique background to his role. After graduating from Venus High School, he served honorably in the United States Marine Corps for eight years. He then earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University. At the police academy, he ranked 4th in driving and 6th in firearms among 86 cadets. "I am excited to be part of a department that values professionalism, integrity, and community service," Officer Samaniego said. Officer Flores, originally from Elgin, Illinois, moved to Texas to attend the University of Houston. He served four years in the United States Army before pursuing a career in law enforcement. After graduating from the Lonestar Police Academy in December 2024, he joined the Fulshear Police Department. "Becoming an officer has always been my true calling," Officer Flores shared. "I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the safety and security of this wonderful community."

Both officers are bilingual, a valuable asset for the department as it strives to engage and serve all members of the diverse Fulshear community. In addition to their law enforcement careers, Officer Flores has a passion for music, performing as part of a mariachi band where he plays multiple instruments, including the accordion.
