Fulshear National Night Out Is Tonight: Meet Police, Firefighters and K-9 Blu at City Hall
For Fulshear families who have ever wanted to meet the officers and firefighters serving their neighborhoods outside of an emergency, tonight offers an easy opportunity to do just that.
The Fulshear Police Department will celebrate National Night Out tonight, Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m., with neighborhood gatherings across the city and a community event open to everyone at Fulshear City Hall, 6611 W. Cross Creek Bend Blvd.
No registration is required for the City Hall event. Residents can simply stop by, meet local first responders and get a closer look at some of the people, vehicles and equipment behind Fulshear's public safety services.
What to Expect at Fulshear City Hall
The City Hall parking lot will become a gathering place for residents and first responders throughout the evening. Families will be able to explore police and fire vehicles and equipment, visit with Fulshear police officers, and meet firefighters and other first responders.
There will also be a few familiar faces ready for photos, including K-9 Blu and Fulshear's community mascot, Sergeant McCann.
For children, getting an up-close look at a fire truck or police vehicle may be the highlight of the night. For adults, the event offers something just as useful: a chance to put faces to the departments and first responders they may normally encounter only while passing a patrol vehicle or during an emergency.
Neighborhoods Across Fulshear Join National Night Out
Registration has closed for individual Fulshear neighborhood and block party events, and police officers and first responders are expected to make their way to registered gatherings throughout the evening.
Residents who are not attending one of those neighborhood events have not missed their chance to participate. The gathering at Fulshear City Hall is open to the entire community from 6 to 8 p.m., with no advance registration necessary.
National Night Out is centered on strengthening relationships between residents, neighbors and law enforcement while encouraging communities to take an active role in local safety. In a growing city like Fulshear, those introductions can be particularly meaningful as new families arrive and neighborhoods continue to take shape.
The idea for the evening is simple: turn on the porch light, make sure the doors are locked, step outside and say hello to a neighbor. Then, for those who want to keep the evening going, head over to City Hall and meet some of the people helping keep Fulshear safe.
Fulshear National Night Out takes place Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fulshear City Hall, 6611 W. Cross Creek Bend Blvd. The City Hall event is free to attend and does not require registration.
