The holiday season is bringing a full evening of family fun to Fulshear as the City of Fulshear prepares to host its annual Christmas Tree Lighting & Holiday Market on Saturday, December 5, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. This year's celebration includes familiar holiday traditions, a new opportunity to shop from local vendors and an outdoor Christmas movie to wrap up the festivities.

Held at the City of Fulshear Municipal Complex, located at 6611 W. Cross Creek Bend Lane, the community celebration offers Fulshear-area families a chance to enjoy the season close to home, spend time with neighbors and take part in one of the city's annual holiday traditions.

Santa Visits, Train Rides and Holiday Activities for Fulshear Families

Families attending the 2026 Fulshear Christmas Tree Lighting can look forward to several activities designed especially for children, along with seasonal entertainment for visitors of all ages.

Young attendees can enjoy train rides, face painting and a Letter to Santa station, where they can prepare their Christmas wish lists. Santa Claus will also make a special appearance, giving families an opportunity to take holiday photos together.

Adding a local touch to the evening, the Huggins Elementary Choir will perform holiday music as part of the celebration. The performance gives students an opportunity to share their talents with the community while helping set the stage for the Christmas tree lighting.

Attendees can also enjoy cookies provided by H-E-B, another addition to an evening centered on family activities and holiday traditions.

New Holiday Market Brings Local Shopping to Fulshear's Christmas Celebration

One of the biggest additions to the 2026 event is the introduction of a Holiday Market featuring local vendors.

For residents looking for Christmas gifts in Fulshear, the market will provide an opportunity to browse items from area sellers while supporting small businesses during one of the busiest shopping seasons of the year.

The new market also gives families another reason to spend the evening at the Municipal Complex, combining holiday shopping with entertainment and activities for children.

For a growing community like Fulshear, events that bring residents and local businesses together offer opportunities to build connections beyond everyday errands, school activities and neighborhood gatherings.

Outdoor Showing of Elf to Follow Fulshear Christmas Tree Lighting

The holiday festivities will continue after the Christmas tree lighting with an outdoor screening of the popular Christmas comedy Elf in the Municipal Complex courtyard.

The movie follows Buddy, a human raised by elves at the North Pole, as he travels to New York City in search of his father. Since its 2003 release, the film has become a familiar part of many families' Christmas movie traditions.

The courtyard screening provides an opportunity for attendees to stay a little longer after the tree lighting and enjoy a holiday movie together. Families planning to attend should note that the city has not specified a separate start time for the film beyond its placement following the tree lighting.

A Holiday Tradition Bringing Fulshear Neighbors Together

For families in Fulshear and surrounding communities, including Cross Creek Ranch and nearby neighborhoods, the annual Christmas tree lighting offers an opportunity to celebrate the holidays without traveling far from home.

Whether families come to watch their children sing, take a photo with Santa, find a few Christmas gifts or simply enjoy the tree lighting alongside friends and neighbors, the event brings several seasonal traditions together in one location.

With the addition of the Holiday Market and outdoor movie, this year's celebration gives residents even more ways to enjoy an evening together as Fulshear welcomes the Christmas season.

Residents can find additional event information through the City of Fulshear's official website.
