Fort Bend Junior Service League Surpasses $6 Million in Contributions, Celebrates 10-Year Partnership with Memorial Hermann

January 13 2025

The Fort Bend Junior Service League (FBJSL) has reached a significant milestone, surpassing $6 million in total contributions to Fort Bend County nonprofits since its founding in 2000. The organization also celebrated a decade-long partnership with Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital, a collaboration that has bolstered community health and wellness through philanthropy and volunteerism.

To mark these achievements, FBJSL hosted a check presentation ceremony at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital. This event highlighted the $335,000 raised and awarded through the 2024 Sugar Plum Market, an annual shopping extravaganza featuring over 100 vendors from across Texas, with $35,400 allocated to the FBJSL Community Assistance Fund. These funds provide emergency grants to local nonprofits addressing critical needs in Fort Bend County.

Milestone in Giving

“Reaching over $6 million in total contributions to Fort Bend County nonprofits is an incredible milestone that reflects the unwavering commitment of our members, sponsors, and community partners,” said FBJSL President Kelsea Weatherford. “We are also thrilled to celebrate a decade of partnership with Memorial Hermann Sugar Land, which has been instrumental in helping us support organizations that make a real difference in the lives of so many Fort Bend County residents.”
