Fort Bend County Parks and Recreation Seeks Community Feedback for Future of Local Recreational Spaces
Fort Bend Green, in collaboration with the Fort Bend County Parks and Recreation Department, is inviting the community to get involved in shaping the future of local parks, trails, and open spaces across Fort Bend County through the launch of the Fort Bend County Parks and Trails Vision Plan.
Building on the momentum of the recently approved $865 Million Mobility and Park and Recreation Bonds, as reported on myneighborhoodnews.com, the Vision Plan aims to guide the enhancement and growth of Fort Bend County's parks and trails over the next 10 to 15 years. Your input will help identify current community needs, future trends, and strategic planning for the future of our recreational spaces.
Fort Bend County welcome all residents to share their ideas and preferences regarding your local parks and trails by taking part in a short community survey. This 10-minute survey, consisting of 23 questions, is your opportunity to influence future projects, priorities, and investments in Fort Bend County's recreational assets.
In addition, Fort Bend County Parks and Recreation will be hosting a series of public meetings during the month of April, where all Fort Bend County residents can learn more about the Vision Plan and share their thoughts in person. The meetings will take place as follows:
- Precinct 1: Monday, April 15 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Jones Creek Ranch Park
- Precinct 2: Wednesday, April 17 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Mustang Community Center
- Precinct 3: Tuesday, April 16 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at 5th Street Community Center
- Precinct 4: Thursday, April 18 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Four Corners Recreation Center
Not sure which precinct you live in? Refer to these interactive maps hosted on the Fort Bend County website. Your voice matters, and your feedback will help shape the future of parks and trails in Fort Bend County. Let's work together to create the best possible recreational spaces for everyone in our community.
