Fort Bend County Master Gardeners, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Present Grow Your Own

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Fort Bend County teams up with the Fort Bend County Master Gardeners again this year to present Grow Your Own, a six-class series on creating a productive edible garden in the home landscape.

Participants will learn how to start a garden, the keys to success, what to plant and when, and how to reap the benefits of year-round food production in Fort Bend County. The in-person classes will be held in Rosenberg and will begin on Feb. 4 with "Fruit Trees." Classes will meet from 9:00 - 10:30 AM at the Bud O'Shieles Community Center, located at 1330 Band Road in Rosenberg. Class registration is due two days prior to each class. Other classes in the series are as follows:
- March 4: Edible Garden Planning
- April 15: Warm Season Vegetables & Herbs
- May 13: Setting Up Raised Beds/Planters
- Aug. 5: Cool Season Vegetables & Herbs
- Sept. 9: Composting.
