Fort Bend County residents preparing for international travel will have a convenient weekend opportunity to apply for a U.S. passport when the Fort Bend County District Clerk’s Office hosts a special Passport Fair in Richmond.
The Passport Fair will be held Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Jones Creek Ranch Park. The event is offered as a community service by Fort Bend County District Clerk Beverley McGrew Walker to make the passport application process more accessible and convenient for area families.
“As the Fort Bend County District Clerk for the last seven years, making it easier to obtain a passport and improving the jury selection process have always been a labor of love,” Walker added. “There is no higher calling than serving the public.”

Applicants should review the Fort Bend County District Clerk’s passport information online before attending to confirm current passport fees, required documents and application requirements.
All passport applicants must appear in person, including minors. Children younger than 16 must appear with both parents. If one parent cannot attend, applicants must bring either a completed DS-3053 form or a notarized authorization letter from the absent parent, along with a copy of that parent’s identification showing both the front and back.
Because appointments for the Richmond passport event are limited, residents interested in applying are encouraged to visit the District Clerk’s website and reserve an available time as soon as possible.
