Fort Bend County Master Gardeners Offer Free Class on Growing Cool Season Vegetables and Herbs
Calling all green thumbs and aspiring gardeners in Fort Bend County! Your local Fort Bend County Master Gardeners are offering a free class next month for those interested in growing their own cool season vegetables and herbs. This 90-minute session, the final instalment in the Grow Your Own Series, will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, August 3, at the Bud O'Shieles Community Center located at 1330 Band Road in Rosenberg.
Presented by seasoned Master Gardeners, Steve Hicks and Lauren Martin, the class promises to be a treasure trove of information. Among the topics addressed is the perennial debate between sowing seeds or opting for transplants. Registration is required and participants will be given access to a recording of the class for future reference.
The Grow Your Own Series, brought to the community by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension - Fort Bend County, has been designed with home gardeners in mind. The aim is to equip residents with knowledge and skills to cultivate a productive edible garden, thereby encouraging year-round food production in Fort Bend County.
