Have you been wondering what to do with your shady flower beds, or maybe you have grown frustrated with plants that can't seem to thrive in your yard's shadiest spots? Get insight, tips and help from a local Master Gardener at an upcoming class, presented to the public at no charge!
On June 28, the Fort Bend County Master Gardeners will host a unique and enriching virtual event for gardening enthusiasts, a free presentation by experienced Master Gardener, Suma Mudan. The class, entitled "Shade Gardening-Ideas and Tips," will be held via Zoom, commencing at 1:00 PM. The presentation is part of the Landscape Success series, a program dedicated to helping individuals create and maintain attractive home landscapes.
Suma Mudan, a dedicated Master Gardener since 2014, based out of Sugar Land, will be sharing her comprehensive knowledge on cultivating successful shade gardens. Mudan intends to include various shade plants from her own front-yard shade garden in the presentation, enriching her talk with personal insights and experiences.
The presentation aims to address common questions gardeners often grapple with, such as "Are you struggling with part of full shade in your yard?" and "Have you tried different plants with little success?" Participants can look forward to learning about a range of shade-loving plants that not only bloom in shaded conditions, but also offer seasonal interest. Mudan's insightful tips will guide participants on what, where, and when to plant in the shade garden, potentially transforming dark, underused spots into lush, verdant spaces.
Registration for this event is required but free of charge, offering an exciting opportunity for gardening enthusiasts to learn from an experienced Master Gardener right here in Fort Bend County. The link to the recording of the class will be sent to all registered attendees, ensuring no one misses out on this educational opportunity. To register, click here.
