Fort Bend County Debris Pick Up Scheduled in Your Neighborhood on August 12

Fort Bend County Homeland Security and Emergency Management has issued the following update concerning debris pick up in your neighborhood, as well as many other neighborhoods across Fort Bend County in the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl.

Debris contractor has indicated that there will be crews in the following areas on August 12, 2024:

  • CINCO RANCH CANYON GATE / FIRETHORNE / GRAYSON LAKES
  • COLONY LAKE ESTATES
  • FOUR CORNERS
  • FRESNO
  • GATEWAY ACRES
  • HUNTERS GLEN AREA
  • JONES CREEK RANCH PARK
  • LAKE VIEW RD
  • LAKES OF BELLA TERRA / THISTLEGROVE LN / STRATFORD FIELD
  • MILLER RD / SOUTHERN COLONY
  • MISSION BEND
  • MISSOURI CITY
  • MISSOURI CITY PORTION IN HOUSTON
  • MUSTANG PARK / FRESNO FIRE DEPARTMENT
  • RANCHO BELLA PKWY
  • RICHMOND
  • RIDGE WOOD ESTATES
  • ROSENBERG
  • SIENNA POINT
  • SIENNA VILLAGE
  • SIENNA VILLAGE AT BEES CREEK
  • TELLEVUE TERRACE
  • TIVOLI LN
  • UNINCORPORATED FORT BEND / SUGAR LAND

They will be working through these areas on a first pass and will work to return into areas for a second pass as needed. Please do not bag debris. The separated piles of debris are being picked up for recycling and bagged items cannot be identified nor the plastic bag be recycled in vegetation.

In an effort to recycle as many materials as possible, residents are asked to separate disaster debris into the following piles:

  • Construction and Demolition Materials
  • White Goods
  • Vegetative materials (trees, limbs, brush, leaves, etc.)
DO NOT MIX OR PLACE NORMAL HOUSEHOLD TRASH WITH STORM DEBRIS CURBSIDE
Normal Household waste, recyclables and bagged debris of any kind will not be collected with your storm debris. Please continue to follow your normal garbage removal schedule.
 

 

Please note that this operation is ONLY for disaster debris. Do not attempt to place garbage or other household refuse with the disaster debris, as it will not be accepted, and will delay your storm debris collections.

Please place the debris piles at the curb in the public right-of-way (not in ditches) in front of your home or business. Please do not block any public utilities such as fire hydrants, water valves, road signs, etc. If properly separated, it will be picked up by crews.
