First Day of School for CFISD

August 22 2022

Cypress-Fairbanks ISD opened its doors for the new school year across 92 campuses today. With over 117,000 students enrolled as of October 2021, CFISD was recently named the largest A-rated school district in Texas by the Texas Education Agency.

In April, CFISD announced an adjusted bell schedule and lunch periods for their campuses. Be sure to check the announcement and note any changes that may impact your student. Here are a couple of other reminders about resources and policies for the start of this new school year:

  • Home Access Center: Home Access Center allows parents and students to view student registration, scheduling, attendance, classwork assignments and grade information. Log in via the parent or student portal.
  • Let's Talk: Have a question about bus routes or schedules? Concerned about inclement weather? Know a bus driver who should be thanked? Let’s Talk! Learn more about Let's Talk!, the transportation department's new online community engagement solution for 2022-2023.
  • New Student Registration: Still need to get your student registered? New student registration for 2022-2023 is open! Join the district that is "Bringing Out the Best" in each student.
  • Club Rewind: Club Rewind is the before/after-school care program designed by CFISD and located at each elementary campus for eligible Pre-K through 5th grade students. The program is fee-based and offers morning care, afternoon care and a combination of both.
  • Become a Volunteer: Volunteers in Public Schools (VIPS) participating in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD schools make a significant contribution to the education of children. Each school year, thousands of volunteers donate hundreds of thousands of hours of service to the school district.
  • Clear Backpack Policy: CFISD requires all high school and middle school students to use clear backpacks.
