For families who have ever heard a fire engine in the neighborhood and wondered what happens behind the station doors, an upcoming Willowfork Fire Department Station 2 Open House offers a chance to find out.

Residents of Cinco Ranch I are invited to spend part of Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026 meeting the firefighters and first responders who serve the area, exploring emergency vehicles and learning more about fire safety in a setting designed to be fun and approachable for children and adults alike.

The free community event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Willowfork Fire Department Station 2, located at 26950 Cinco Ranch Blvd, Katy, TX 77494.

A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Willowfork Fire Department Station 2

The Station 2 Open House is part of Willowfork Fire Department and Fort Bend County Emergency Services District No. 2's community outreach, giving neighbors an opportunity to see equipment up close while getting to know the people who respond when local emergencies happen.

Families will be able to check out fire trucks, meet firefighters and other first responders, watch demonstrations and take part in games and activities throughout the day.

For younger visitors, there will also be a chance to meet Sparky, the department's fire-safety mascot. The event is being promoted as the first stop on "Sparky's Road to Open House," a series highlighting upcoming station open houses.
