FINAL REMINDER: Hearthstone to Roll Out the Good Times with 1st Annual Mardi Gras Parade
The timeless traditions of Mardi Gras are making their debut in the Hearthstone community with the 1st Annual Hearthstone Mardi Gras Parade, a resident-only celebration rolling through the neighborhood on Monday, February 16 at 5:00 PM.
Bringing a splash of New Orleans to Hearthstone, this new parade is set to feature golf carts decked out in colorful décor, festive music, lively costumes, and generous throws of beads and treats. Parade participants will gather near the intersection of Elmont and Ameswood, where they’ll kick off an evening of family-friendly fun and neighborhood pride.
More than just a parade, the event is a true celebration of community, culture, and Carnival spirit. Geoffrey Acuna, a Hearthstone resident and parade coordinator, shared his enthusiasm about the new tradition taking shape:
“The neighborhood Christmas golf cart parade has been such a hit — I’d love to see us keep the momentum going with a Mardi Gras golf cart parade for the neighborhood and kids. This community-driven parade is all about togetherness, tradition, and celebration. ”

In a special show of local support, this year’s Mardi Gras Golf Cart Parade also doubles as a fundraiser for the Hearthstone Heatwave Swim Team, the neighborhood’s beloved youth team. Through the sale of Mardi Gras Parade Packs, the community is rallying behind its young athletes and ensuring they have the resources needed for team expenses, meets, and training opportunities.
Parade Pack orders were available through February 8, with home delivery scheduled by February 15. Proceeds will directly benefit the Hearthstone Heatwaves, making this a win-win for everyone. If you ordered a parade pack from the Hearthstone Heatwaves Swim Team, keep an eye out for communications about your delivery directly from their representatives.
Important Note: The parade route will follow the same route as the Christmas golf cart parade. Click here to view the map.

While the floats may be small in size, the spirit behind this event is larger than life. As the Hearthstone community gathers to celebrate together, one thing is certain: Laissez les bons temps rouler—let the good times roll!
