Feed the Hunger - Katy Gearing Up for 55th Anniversary Packathon
The Katy community is invited to join Feed the Hunger - Katy in celebrating 55 years of ministry by becoming a missionary in your own backyard as Feed the Hunger continues to distribute food to some of the most vulnerable children and their families.
Throughout the month of May, CommUNITY Packathon Days will take place across the nation to create powerful change, including right here in Katy. On Wednesday, May 24, join fellow community members for two hours of meaningful, hands-on service at Redeemer Community Church from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. This Katy initiative has set a goal of packing more than 200,000 meals.
Looking Ahead
Feed the Hunger - Katy aims to pack 1.5 million meals locally in 2023. One of the many ways Feed the Hunger is trying to reach this goal is by hosting Golf to Give Back, a miniature golf play experience that provides an opportunity to enjoy a round with friends, family or co-workers while supporting Feed the Hunger.
About Feed the Hunger
Feed the Hunger is a Christian Non-Profit established in 1968. Their focus is on feeding the physical and spiritual hunger in needy people, especially children, by partnering with local pastors and church planters. Feed the Hunger aims to do this by offering hands-on service events called Packathons, where nutritious meals are packed. Feed the Hunger also supplies other resources such as water, medicine, clothing, shelter and bibles. Their meals are freely distributed to those in need regardless of their beliefs. Feed the Hunger has strategic partners internationally in 26 countries, distributing food to some of the poorest areas in the United States as well as through local food relief partners here in Katy.
