Explore the Grand Lakes Community Garden
Did you know that Grand Lakes has its own community garden for all residents to enjoy?
The Grand Lakes community garden consists of 12 raised beds across from the Barn Park, on East Grand Star Circle. Each bed consists of approximately 57 sq. ft. of gardening space. Any resident can plant and pick what has been planted. Residents may dabble, teach their kids, enjoy what others planted, etc. Only the resident who reserved the bed may plant and pick what has been planted.
What To Grow: Vegetables, herbs, flowers, and small fruit plants for home consumption. The Grand Lakes Community Garden suggests to follow the Vegetable Garden Planting Guide from Texas A&M AgriLife Extension.

GROWING SEASONS AND BED RESERVATION
Two growing seasons are defined for the garden: spring (March 1 – Aug 31) and winter (Sept 1 - Feb 28). Bed reservation forms for the upcoming season will be accepted beginning one month before the start of that season. Reservations will generally be awarded first come first serve by the Green Committee. The bed reservation form (including submission instructions) can be found here.
