Empowering Children: radKIDS Safety Education Program Returning to Fulshear

February 26 2024

A new era in children's safety education is around the corner, as the Fulshear Police Department is set to host the nationally recognized radKIDS Program once again. This innovative initiative, run by radKIDS® 501c3 since 2001, empowers children and parents with essential skills to ensure safety in today's ever-changing world.

The radKIDS program, targeted at children aged 8-12, is scheduled for June 4-7, 2024. The classes will be held at the City of Fulshear Irene Stern Community Center located at 6920 Katy Fulshear Road, with two available time slots - 9am-11am or 1pm-3pm. Due to the nature of the program and to ensure a quality learning experience for each participant, seats are limited to just 10 students per session.

The sought-after program offers a transformative curriculum that fortifies children's personal boundaries and boosts parents' confidence. It equips participants with knowledge and physical resistance skills aimed at replacing fear with power. The program intends to enhance the critical thinking abilities of children, enabling them to recognize, avoid, and resist harm or violence if necessary.

The investment for accessing this potentially life-saving program is just $30 per child, to be made payable to the "Fulshear Police Foundation" on the first day of class. This one-time fee allows children to return as often as they wish, free of charge, until they turn 13, providing continuous and long-lasting safety education.

To secure a space for your child, reach out to Lynn Raymer at lraymer@fulsheartexas.gov or Officer Jennifer Edmonds at jedmonds@fulsheartexas.gov. Remember to indicate your preferred time slot - either the AM or PM class. The Fulshear Police Department eagerly anticipates meeting and empowering you and your child(ren) through radKIDS Program, the next generation of safety education.
