February 25 2026

For residents in Elgin and across Bastrop County looking for stable employment, meaningful work, and a chance to serve local families, Elgin Independent School District is opening its doors this weekend.

Elgin ISD will host a districtwide job fair on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Elgin Middle School, located at 1351 N. Avenue C, Elgin, Texas 78621, and district leaders say they are hiring for all positions. Virtual interviews will also be available for applicants who cannot attend in person.

As Elgin continues to grow within Central Texas — just 30 minutes from Austin — the school district is expanding alongside it. With more than 6,000 students served across nine campuses, Elgin ISD describes itself as a rapidly growing district that values innovation, collaboration and community.

For job seekers searching for jobs in Elgin ISD, this weekend presents a direct opportunity to meet decision-makers and potentially interview on the spot.
