A Local Focus on Health, Sustainability, and Access

Events like the Earth Day Celebration at Four Corners Park highlight how Fort Bend County continues to invest in public spaces that support both physical health and environmental awareness. The inclusion of partners such as Fort Bend Health & Human Services, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, Fort Bend County Libraries, and the Texas Master Gardener program reflects a collaborative effort to bring practical resources directly to residents.

From learning how to start composting at home to understanding how small daily habits impact the environment, the event aims to make sustainability approachable. At the same time, fitness activities like Zumba and bike riding reinforce the importance of staying active—something many families are increasingly prioritizing.

Why It Matters for Local Families

For many residents in Lost Creek, nearby parks and community events play a key role in quality of life. Access to safe outdoor spaces, family-friendly programming, and health resources can directly impact daily routines, from how children play to how families spend their weekends.

This Earth Day event offers a simple way to engage with those resources while building a stronger connection to the community. It also introduces families to local organizations and programs they may not have encountered before—many of which offer ongoing services throughout the year.

Planning Your Visit

Parking will be available at the Four Corners Community Center, and early arrival is encouraged to make the most of the morning’s activities. With a wide range of offerings and an open invitation to all residents, the event is designed to be both welcoming and easy to attend.

As Earth Day approaches, this local celebration provides a reminder that environmental stewardship and community well-being often start close to home—sometimes right at the neighborhood park.
