Donating School Supplies to CFISD Students

For most students, the start of a new school year is full of excitement. Seeing friends again after summer break, meeting new teachers, making new friends and gearing up for another fun year of learning and exploration are some of the high points. But for many students, going back to school can be a daunting and stressful experience. For students whose families are under financial strain, they often come to school without the supplies they need, reuse worn or borrowed supplies, or don't come to school with all of the supplies on their school supply list. Feeling unprepared for the start of the school year can affect a student's confidence, performance, ability to focus, make friends and more.
Imagine being able to help those students show up to their first day of school with a new backpack and all the supplies they need. For all students, having the security of knowing they are fully prepared and confident to start the school year is empowering! Every student deserves to have this experience. You can be a part of the movement to help equip all students in need with the supplies necessary to start the school year. Here are a few ways you can contribute right in your community.

Back-to-School Drive
From now until July 14, CAM is seeking new backpacks, school supplies, underwear and socks for their Back-to-School Drive. If you or anyone is in need of back-to-school supplies for this upcoming school year, please stop by CAM! They will start distribution July 26 thru September 2, 2022. Operation Backpack
For 18 years, YMCA Operation Backpack has provided school supplies for children in communities across the Houston area, filling them with hope for a brighter future as they start the school year. The children in our community need us now more than ever.
Your investment provides children the opportunity to return to learning with the tools to be successful. Funds raised will be used to purchase packaged school supplies that will be distributed to children in need in communities across the Houston area.
Cy-Fair Helping Hands
Back to School Bash
CFISD's 2022-2023 school year starts on August 22, 2022. At Cy-Fair Helping Hands, our goal is that every student start the school year with all of the supplies they need, ready to succeed! Join us on Saturday, August 6 from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM at our facility, located at
9606 Kirkton Dr, Houston, TX 77095, for a morning of fun activities, community resources, and free school supplies. We hope to see you there!
Northwest Assistance Ministries
Back to School Project
Each year Northwest Assistance Ministries hosts a Back to School Drive to purchase school supplies for local children in need, from kindergarten through 12th grade. Each year, over 1,500 students in the Spring, Klein, Aldine, and Cy-Fair school districts receive the supplies they needed to start the school year from NAM.
