Boardwalk Goes Pink Returns to Towne Lake for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Cypress
Cypress residents will see a familiar waterfront landmark take on a new meaning throughout October as The Boardwalk at Towne Lake lights up in pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The month-long Boardwalk Goes Pink campaign, organized with Houston Methodist Neal Cancer Center at Cypress, is designed to keep breast cancer awareness, regular screenings and early detection visible in the community.
Each evening during October, The Boardwalk will be illuminated in pink. Visitors can also walk along the waterfront through an educational activation featuring breast cancer facts and resources, creating a simple way for families, neighbors and friends to engage with the message while spending time at one of Cypress' best-known gathering places.

A Month-long Awareness Effort in Cypress
The Oct. 2 event is only the starting point. Caldwell Companies, developer of The Boardwalk at Towne Lake, said the pink lighting and educational activation will continue throughout October as part of the partnership with Houston Methodist. The effort is intended to support people affected by breast cancer while keeping information about awareness and early detection in front of the broader Cypress community.
The campaign does not advertise free screenings or medical care at the event. Instead, the official materials focus on awareness, educational resources and community participation, with local physicians expected to share information during the kickoff.
For residents planning to attend, The Boardwalk's visitor information lists free parking throughout the property. More details about the kickoff and the month-long Boardwalk Goes Pink campaign are available through The Boardwalk at Towne Lake and Caldwell Companies.
