MCTC serves as a central location for career and technical education (CTE) courses not available at students’ home campuses, specifically tailored for juniors and seniors. The center offers a wide range of courses, including Architectural Design, Automotive Technology, Cisco Network Engineering, Clinical Rotations, Computer Technician, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Cyber Security, and Veterinary Medicine, among others. This hands-on approach aims to give students the opportunity to gain practical experience while also helping them build essential skills and confidence.

Utilizing the services provided by MCTC students not only supports their education but also benefits the community by offering affordable services. According to Jeannie Knierim, Director of Career and Technical Education in Katy ISD, “We have a wide selection of CTE programs in Katy ISD, something to meet nearly every student’s interest.”
Services Offered
MCTC's Enterprise Businesses are open to the public, providing a range of services at competitive prices. The Garage offers automotive services such as oil changes and brake repair, and appointments can be scheduled by calling 281-237-7574 or emailing MCTCAutoshop@katyisd.org. The Dog Wash provides grooming services, including bathing and nail trimming, with appointments arranged via email at MCTCGrooming@katyisd.org. Additionally, the Salon features hair, nail, and skin services, with bookings available at MCTCSalon@katyisd.org.

Upcoming Family Tour Days
To encourage students and their families to learn more about the programs at MCTC, the center will host several tour dates this fall. These events provide an opportunity for students in grades 7-11 and their parents to explore the facility and its offerings. The upcoming tour dates are:
- Saturday, September 28 (9:00 - 10:30 AM, 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM)
- Tuesday, October 8 (5:00 – 6:30 PM)
- Wednesday, October 9 (6:00 – 7:30 PM)
- Saturday, October 12 (9:00 – 10:30 AM, 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM)
- Tuesday, November 12 (6:00 – 7:30 PM)
- Wednesday, November 13 (5:00 – 6:30 PM)
