Discover Charles W. Austin Park: A Peaceful Gem for Copperbrook Families

May 22 2025

Tucked within the Copperbrook community’s peaceful corner of Northwest Houston, Charles W. Austin Park is more than just a neighborhood green space—it’s a serene retreat where families make memories, neighbors gather, and the natural beauty of Copperbrook shines. Whether you’re chasing butterflies with the kids, planning a birthday party, or simply enjoying a quiet morning walk, this park has something for everyone.

Park Hours and Atmosphere

Located at 8515 Willancy Ln, Houston, TX 77095 and open daily from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., Charles W. Austin Park offers early risers and evening strollers plenty of time to enjoy the tree-lined paths and scenic lakes. The park is designed with resident safety and tranquility in mind—motorized vehicles, skateboards, and glass containers are strictly prohibited, helping to keep the grounds safe and litter-free for all ages.

Pet-Friendly (on Leash!)

Dog lovers, rejoice! The park welcomes furry companions, but all pets must be leashed at all times. For everyone's enjoyment, please remember to clean up after your pets and use the trash bins provided throughout the park.

Celebrate Under the Pavilion

At the heart of the park sits the Dave Cooney Pavilion, a covered outdoor space ideal for special gatherings. From birthday parties and baby showers to scout troop meetings and nonprofit picnics, the pavilion provides a shaded setting with a community vibe. Just note that organized sports games are not permitted within the pavilion area, helping maintain a peaceful setting for all visitors.
