Deed Restrictions: Why We Have Them
Many residents wonder (and complain) about deed restrictions and those letters that we have all received at one time or another. When you purchased your house you were given a copy of the regulations that are in place for our subdivision. Many residents wonder why we have them. They exist to ensure that all properties in the neighborhood are well maintained so that each property owner’s asset is protected. Here are a few suggestions for developing a workable relationship with your HOA.
-
Read the document that lists the regulations and restrictions for our The document is located in the "My Neighborhood" tab on MyNeighborhoodNews.com/Harvest-Bend under "Documents & Forms" and in the website for ACMP.
-
Remember that any modification or renovation to the outside of your property – no matter how small - requires you to submit an ACC form to ACMP prior to starting any of part of your project. The form is also found in the "My Neighborhood" tab on MyNeighborhoodNews.com/Harvest-Bend under "Documents & Forms" and the ACMP website. Basically, if what you want to do can be seen from the street – file the form.
It may seem overly restrictive but it is necessary to ensure our neighborhood remains residential and appealing. The deed restrictions ensure that your next door neighbor can’t open a car repair business in their garage or paint their house lime green.
Thank you for your cooperation as we work together to protect Harvest Bend.
