Cypress Park High School celebrated a significant Spring Signing Day on February 5, 2025, as two student-athletes signed letters of intent to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level. These talented athletes, representing football and volleyball, are poised to make an impact at their future institutions.

Football Standout Joins North Park University

Joshua Duncan, a key player on the Cypress Park football team, committed to North Park University, a private Christian university in Chicago, Illinois, with an enrollment of approximately 3,200 students. The university offers a strong academic environment and a competitive athletics program that will provide Duncan with an excellent opportunity to develop his skills further.

Volleyball Star Heads to Lackawanna College

Skylar Theis, a standout in volleyball, signed with Lackawanna College, a private junior college in Scranton, Pennsylvania, with around 1,500 students. Known for its strong athletics programs, Lackawanna College will serve as an excellent stepping stone for Theis’s future in the sport.

“We are so proud of Joshua and Skylar for their dedication, hard work, and perseverance,” said Cypress Park High School’s athletic director. “They have both earned these opportunities, and we can’t wait to see what they accomplish at the next level.”

Cypress Park High School remains committed to fostering athletic and academic excellence, preparing its student-athletes for success beyond high school. These signings mark another milestone for the Tigers, further solidifying their legacy of developing talented student-athletes.
