Cypress Mill Community Gears Up for Annual Fall Garage Sale on October 11

Cypress Mill Community Gears Up for Annual Fall Garage Sale on October 11

September 24 2025

One of Cypress Mill’s most anticipated community traditions is returning this October: the neighborhood-wide garage sale. From 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, Cypress Mill residents will open their driveways, garages, and yards to bargain-hunters across Northwest Houston looking for gently used treasures, household goods, clothing, kids’ gear, and more.

For longtime residents, the biannual event has become more than just a chance to declutter. It’s a morning filled with casual chats across the lawn, friendly waves from neighbors, and a shared sense of community spirit that makes Cypress Mill feel like home.

Whether you’re a seller preparing to part ways with once-loved items or a shopper on the hunt for hidden gems, the Cypress Mill garage sale is a local favorite—and a fantastic way to recycle items while keeping things affordable and neighborly.

Tips for Cypress Mill Sellers

To help residents make the most of this year’s event, here are a few helpful prep tips from veteran neighborhood participants:

  • Start early. Begin gathering and pricing items at least a week in advance. Group similar items together and label clearly for easy browsing.

  • Use signs and social posts. Promote your sale on neighborhood Facebook groups, Nextdoor, or community email threads. Consider posting a photo of your top items to draw interest.

  • Make it easy to shop. Set up tables, lay items out in categories, and have plenty of change or a digital payment option like Venmo or Zelle ready.

  • Team up with neighbors. Multi-family garage sales often draw more foot traffic—invite the house next door to join forces.

  • Have bags ready. Shoppers often appreciate plastic or paper bags for carrying purchases.

And don’t forget to stay hydrated and have a little fun—many neighbors say the best part of the sale is simply catching up with old friends or meeting new faces in the community.
