Cypress Meadow Prepares for National Night Out with Food, Fun, and Community Spirit
Cypress Meadow is preparing for an evening of fun, food, and connection as neighbors gather to celebrate National Night Out on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at The Big Park, located at 19230 Cypress Flower Dr, Katy, TX 77449. This free community event is open to all residents and promises to be a welcoming opportunity to enjoy a meal, meet neighbors, and strengthen local ties.
National Night Out is a nationwide program that began in 1984 as an effort to promote safer, more connected neighborhoods through police-community partnerships. What started with simple porch light vigils has grown into an annual event celebrated across all 50 states. Today, communities like Cypress Meadow use it as a chance to connect face-to-face, foster friendships, and help build a stronger sense of safety and trust among neighbors.

Organizers say National Night Out is about more than just a meal or entertainment—it’s about making connections that last long after the evening ends. Building those relationships, they note, helps create a stronger and safer community.
Residents often point out how events like this help turn neighbors into friends and showcase how much the community cares. That strong sense of connection, they say, is one of the reasons Cypress Meadow is such a great place to live.
This year’s event will include complimentary food and beverages, along with fun activities for all ages. Residents are encouraged to bring their families, meet local first responders, and enjoy the chance to meet new neighbors while catching up with familiar faces.
