Cypress Falls High School Senior Named CFISD Student of the Week

Cypress Falls High School senior Chiamaka Okeke is praised by her teachers for being a forward-thinking student and hard-working student.

School: Cypress Falls High School  |  Age: 17  |  Grade: 12

Accomplishments: Chiamaka is in the College Academy program, where she will graduate with her associate in science while in high school. She has also been in art for four years, she is in the top 12% of her class, she volunteers, she is also in the National Honor Society for science and she has won medals for her participation in tennis.

Favorite class: “My favorite class is Ceramics because I get to express my ideas and creativeness through a beautiful art form.”

Favorite things to do after class: “Some favorite things I like to do after school are playing tennis, listening to documentaries and hanging out with friends.”

Favorite Song: “My favorite song is Awodi by Asake.”

Favorite Website/App: “My favorite app is Pinterest because I get to see so many creative and unique styles, aesthetics, clothing, food and art that opens me up to a new world of art expression.”

Favorite TV show: “My favorite TV show is Narco Saints because it displays action and comedy while expressing serious tones of what goes on in other parts of the world when it comes to crime.”

Favorite movie: “My favorite movie is Corpse Bride because the art style is so unique and creative and the story displays a tone of love with misery.”

Ambition: “My ambition is to end up becoming a dermatologist because I know many people end up becoming insecure due to things like their skin with acne, eczema, etc. I want to work in this occupation to help people with their insecurities and even find the beauty within.”

What topics/things are you passionate about?: “I’m passionate about makeup, true crime, fashion and volunteering.”

What inspires you?: “My family, friends and nature are things that inspire me.”

What three things can’t you live without?: “I can’t live without my phone, loved ones and my bed.”
