Cy-Fair Women's Club Opens 2025 Scholarship Applications for Local Students
The Cy-Fair Women's Club (CWC), a non-profit service organization that has been a pillar of the Cy-Fair community since 1982, has officially opened its scholarship application process for 2025. This annual opportunity targets high school seniors, regardless of gender, residing within the boundaries of Cypress-Fairbanks ISD (CFISD).
The scholarship program, which has been in operation for many years, aims to support local students in their higher education pursuits. The club's scholarships place significant emphasis on the applicant's community service efforts, with academic performance and extracurricular activities also considered. Each successful applicant is set to receive a $2,000 grant for their college education, with the number of scholarships to be awarded announced in January 2025.
CWC Scholarships cater to seniors graduating from any CFISD high school, home school or private school. Candidates are required to be planning to attend on a full-time basis an accredited two or four-year college, university or technical school. With a clear dedication to community and service, the scholarship program reflects the core values of the Cy-Fair Women's Club.

The scholarship initiative is made possible by fundraisers, specifically the club's primary annual event, the Shop 'til You Drop Marketplace at the Berry Center. This event, along with contributions from Community Sponsors like My Neighborhood News, has facilitated the awarding of over 200 scholarships, amounting to over $200,000, in past years, including a record-breaking 35 scholarships awarded this past May.
This year's Shop 'til You Drop event, which was held on September 14, attracted over 5,300 attendees with the aim to reach a fundraising goal of $40,000. While the final count for this year's funds is pending, these funds are instrumental in the continuation of the scholarship program.
The deadline for applications is Monday, 2nd February 2025. Interested applicants can find more information on the application process on the club's website under the Community Outreach tab in the Scholarships section, or by clicking here.
