Cy-Fair Helping Hands and Creekwood Grill Unite to Spread Holiday Joy

November 29 2023

In the heart of Cy-Fair, a collaborative effort between Cy-Fair Helping Hands (CFHH) and Creekwood Grill is set to bring warmth and joy to those experiencing homelessness in the Cy-Fair area this Christmas season.

CFHH's outreach elves have been hard at work collecting letters to Santa from their homeless clients, who have each shared three Christmas wishes. All of their lists are now hanging on the Blessings Tree at Cy-Fair Helping Hands, eagerly waiting for compassionate community members to choose and fulfill them. To amplify the impact, Creekwood Grill, a beloved community-centered family restaurant in Cypress, has initiated its own Blessings Tree for the local homeless population, collecting essential items such as knit caps and tents.

Cy-Fair Helping Hands is fostering this partnership not only with Creekwood Grill but also with Cypress Chapel, a community church that meets at Creekwood Grill. Together, they aspire to create a network of support and joy for those in need in the Cy-Fair area. The collaboration embodies the true spirit of community, showcasing how businesses and local organizations can come together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the less fortunate.

Community members are invited to visit bit.ly/CFHHBlessingTree2023, select a wish, purchase the specified item, and label it with the ornament number. The organization encourages additional acts of generosity, with suggested clothing sizes listed for those who wish to go above and beyond in spreading holiday cheer. All gifts should remain unwrapped, with clear markings of the ornament numbers on the outside, and be returned to the CFHH office at 9606 Kirkton Dr, Houston, TX 77095, by Tuesday, December 5th.

Since its establishment in 2010, Cy-Fair Helping Hands has been dedicated to aiding the homeless in Cy-Fair on their journey towards self-sufficiency. The organization's multifaceted approach includes a Community Food Pantry, Emergency Shelter provisions, scholarships for underprivileged students, a Homeless Day Shelter, programs for homeless students, and impactful events during holidays and back-to-school time.

For any inquiries or assistance, individuals are encouraged to contact the organization's helpful elves, Maryann Mason at 832-499-4664 or Carla Englade at 713-305-3125.
