CVS Breaks Ground in Fulshear: New Pharmacy Coming to FM 359 in Early 2026
Fulshear is getting its first CVS—and for many locals, it’s a welcome addition that’s been a long time coming.
Construction crews recently broke ground on the new freestanding CVS Pharmacy located at 6726 FM 359. The $4 million project, which includes full site development, kicked off in June and is expected to wrap by mid-February 2026. Once open, the store will bring not only prescription services, but also retail essentials and expanded health resources right to the heart of the Fulshear community.
The new pharmacy will total 14,698 square feet and offer the full suite of services CVS is known for, including prescription pickup and delivery, over-the-counter medications, immunizations, basic health screenings, and everyday convenience items. From last-minute groceries to seasonal goods and personal care products, the Fulshear location will give residents a local stop for errands that many have previously had to drive to Katy or Richmond to complete.

As one of the fastest-growing and most sought-after communities in the nation, Fulshear’s continued residential and commercial expansion makes it a strategic location for new development like this.
CVS, originally launched as Consumer Value Store in 1963, has evolved into one of the largest pharmacy retailers in the country. Today, there are more than 9,000 CVS locations across the United States—but until now, none in the city of Fulshear itself. This new store will join a handful of nearby locations already serving the broader Katy area, but it’s the first to call Fulshear home.
The timing of the project aligns with a wave of new commercial development popping up throughout the FM 359 corridor. As rooftops go up and families settle in, CVS’s move into the market reflects what many locals already know—Fulshear isn’t just growing, it’s becoming a destination.

And with CVS’s growing commitment to community-based healthcare—including digital tools and wellness services—it’s more than just a place to shop.
Stay tuned to My Neighborhood News as the store nears completion and more details are released around its grand opening. For now, expect to see continued progress at the site as CVS prepares to open its doors to Fulshear in early 2026.
