Crust Pizza Co. Plans First San Antonio Locations in Stone Oak and Alamo Ranch

San Antonio / New Braunfels  /  San Antonio / New Braunfels
August 21 2026

San Antonio is getting its first taste of Crust Pizza Co., with two locations planned for the Stone Oak and Alamo Ranch areas.

The Texas-based restaurant company lists future locations at:

Neither restaurant is open yet, and an opening date has not been announced for either location. However, a new state construction filing offers a clearer look at what is planned for Stone Oak.

$400,000 restaurant buildout planned in Stone Oak

A Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing describes a 2,702-square-foot interior buildout for Crust Pizza inside Stone Oak Mercantile.

The privately funded renovation carries an estimated construction cost of $400,000. Work is tentatively scheduled to begin November 30, 2026, and conclude May 15, 2027.

Those dates are planning estimates rather than guaranteed construction or opening dates. TDLR filings can change as restaurant development moves forward.

The filing’s review is complete, but Crust Pizza Co. has not announced when the Stone Oak restaurant will begin serving customers.

Less information is currently available about the Alamo Ranch location. Crust lists the restaurant at 13503 Culebra Road, but no corresponding construction schedule or project budget has been confirmed.

What is Chicago-style thin-crust pizza?

Chicago pizza is often associated with towering slices of deep-dish pizza, but Crust Pizza Co. serves a different Windy City tradition: thin, crisp, tavern-style pies cut into squares.

The company makes its dough in-house throughout the day and shreds cheese from blocks at each restaurant rather than using pre-shredded cheese. Its broader menu includes specialty pizzas, build-your-own pies, calzones, pastas, salads, zucchini bowls, starters, desserts and children’s meals.

Pizza options vary by location but commonly include familiar combinations such as pepperoni, meat lovers and margherita alongside more elaborate specialty pies. The menu is designed to give families a mix of traditional pizza-night favorites and lighter options.

Restaurants offer dine-in, takeout and catering, and the company also operates a rewards program.

A Texas restaurant with community ties

Crust Pizza Co. grew from a partnership between lifelong friends Clint Price and Mark Rasberry, who combined their professional experience with a shared interest in pizza.

The first Crust restaurant opened in the Houston area in 2011. The company has since expanded across Texas and into Louisiana, building much of its reputation around family-friendly neighborhood restaurants rather than large destination venues.

Crust also works with schools, teams and nonprofit organizations through local fundraising events. Participating organizations can invite supporters to dine at a restaurant during a designated period, with a portion of qualifying sales directed to the group.

That community-oriented model has helped the brand establish itself in suburban markets similar to Stone Oak and Alamo Ranch, where schools, youth activities and neighborhood organizations play a large role in local life.

Crust continues expanding around San Antonio

Although the Stone Oak and Alamo Ranch restaurants will be the company’s first locations within San Antonio, Crust has already been building a presence in surrounding communities.

The company operates restaurants in New Braunfels, Cibolo, Kyle and Bastrop. Its Cibolo restaurant opened in 2025, bringing the brand closer to the San Antonio market before the two newest locations appeared on its development list.

The Stone Oak restaurant will join a growing lineup at Stone Oak Mercantile, a retail development along Stone Oak Parkway near Canyon Golf Road. The surrounding area has seen steady restaurant and commercial growth as more residents look for dining options closer to neighborhoods in northern San Antonio.

Additional information about menus, hiring and opening plans is expected as construction moves forward. Current and future locations can be tracked through the Crust Pizza Co. website.

For now, San Antonio pizza fans have two new addresses to watch—and a different style of Chicago pizza heading their way.
