Crest Management Launches 2026 Juicebox Challenge Across Houston Communities with Goal to Feed Thousands of Children

April 01 2026

As summer approaches in Greater Houston, a familiar community-driven effort is returning with even greater urgency—and an even bigger goal. Crest Management is once again rallying residents across its managed neighborhoods to help fight childhood hunger through the 2026 Kids’ Meals, Inc. Juicebox Challenge, running from April 1 through June 30, 2026.

For families living in Crest-managed communities, this initiative represents more than a donation drive. It is a chance to directly impact children across Houston who rely on daily meal deliveries—especially during the summer months when school-based meal programs are unavailable.

A Growing Mission Rooted in Community Impact

Now in its sixth year participating in the Juicebox Challenge, Crest Management has become a leading force in the region-wide effort, earning four championship titles and securing back-to-back wins in recent years. In 2025 alone, the organization set a goal of 35,000 juice boxes—and surpassed it significantly, collecting 55,180 donations.

That momentum is now fueling an even more ambitious target for 2026.

This year, Crest Management has set its sights on collecting 65,000 100% juice boxes, each one helping complete a nutritious meal delivered to a child in need through Kids’ Meals, Inc.

The challenge is part of a broader Houston-area initiative that supports preschool-aged children living in food-insecure households. Kids’ Meals, Inc., a Houston-based nonprofit, delivers thousands of meals daily—and that number increases dramatically during the summer.

Why Juice Boxes Matter More Than You Think

While small in size, each juice box plays a critical role. Every Kids’ Meals delivery includes a sandwich, snack, and a 100% juice drink—making these donations essential to completing a balanced meal.

Without consistent access to school meals, many children face increased food insecurity during summer break. Community-driven campaigns like the Juicebox Challenge help bridge that gap in a tangible, immediate way.

For Kids’ Meals, the need is both urgent and growing. On a typical day, the organization prepares and delivers more than 12,000 lunches to preschool-aged children (5 and under) who do not have access to free school-based meal programs. During the summer, that number nearly doubles as school-aged siblings at home are also served—resulting in more than 20,000 free, healthy meals delivered each weekday and over 1 million meals throughout the summer months.

This is why the annual Juicebox Challenge, held from April 1 through June 30, plays such a critical role. As the demand for meals increases, so does the need for 100% juice donations—turning a simple item into a meaningful way for communities to help ensure no child goes without during the longest months of the year.

How Crest Communities Can Get Involved

Residents across Crest Management neighborhoods are encouraged to participate by donating 100% juice boxes only—a key requirement to meet Kids’ Meals nutrition standards.

For those who prefer a more personal connection to the cause, in-person donations are also welcomed. Donors may have the opportunity to be featured on social media, highlighting the collective effort of neighborhoods, HOA boards, business partners, and families working together.

This shared participation has become a defining element of the challenge, turning individual contributions into a broader movement of community support.

Building on a Legacy of Giving

What began as a simple donation effort has evolved into a signature initiative that unites communities across Harris and Montgomery Counties. Each year, the Juicebox Challenge reflects not only generosity—but also the identity of neighborhoods committed to making a difference beyond their own streets.

For many residents, participation has become an annual tradition—one that reinforces the idea that even small contributions can create meaningful change when multiplied across an engaged community.

What Happens Next

With the challenge officially kicking off April 1, residents can expect to see donation drives, reminders from HOA boards, and opportunities to contribute throughout the spring and early summer.

As Crest Management aims for its fifth championship title, the focus remains on the true measure of success: ensuring more children across Greater Houston receive the meals they need.

For those looking to get involved, the message is simple—start small, donate what you can, and be part of something that reaches far beyond your neighborhood.
