While this marks a slight decline from August’s 601 calls, Precinct 5 maintained strong coverage through contract checks, welfare visits, and neighborhood-specific follow-ups.

Contract patrols remained the dominant category with 407 contract checks performed—ensuring law enforcement visibility across Hearthstone’s parks, businesses, schools, and residential streets.

September’s report reflects a decrease of 19 total calls compared to the previous month. While contract checks dipped slightly (from 436 to 407), deputies continued to stay active in high-visibility areas.

Notable observations this month include:

  • Zero reports of theft, fraud, or stolen vehicles—a strong indicator of continued crime deterrence.

  • Vacation Watches increased again, up from 16 in August to 18 in September, as residents took advantage of fall break periods.

  • Suspicious persons reports tripled compared to August (6 this month vs. 2 last month), with multiple incidents clustered near Huffmeister Road and Hearthstone Green Drive.

  • Criminal mischief reports doubled from 1 to 2, both involving property-related concerns.

  • The return of a Silver Watch call, indicating attention to vulnerable residents.

Deputies Maintain Community Connections

Precinct 5 continued their emphasis on relationship-based patrols and preventive engagement, with:

  • 8 “Meet the Citizen” entries, offering residents a chance to speak with deputies directly.

  • 17 neighborhood checks, keeping an eye on residential streets.

  • Regular visits to community spaces, including 6 park checks and 3 school checks.

  • Follow-ups and welfare checks across key streets like Huffmeister, Islandwoods Drive, and Brenwood Trail.
