Community Spotlight: Langham Creek HS Bailadoras

October 19 2022

The Langham Creek Bailadoras Dance Team is under the direction of Brynae Love – Young and Katherine McMullin. The organization was founded May 11, 1984 and will be celebrating their 40th Anniversary in 2024. The Bailadoras are a spirit organization on campus who performs at pep rallies, varsity sporting events and other requested appearances throughout the community.

In addition to those performances, the team also competes in the spring against several drill teams in the state of Texas. In 2022, the Dance and Social officers both won National first place titles, and the team placed 2nd overall. In the nearly forty years of the organization’s history, the Bailadoras remain the top contenders essentially everywhere they compete. The Bailadoras team motto for success is LIGHT: Legacy, Integrity, Growth, Humility, and Teachable which was created by previous Asst. Director Jenna H. Walling.

The Bailadoras not only perform, but they also strive to serve their community through volunteerism while inspiring self confidence, discipline and teamwork. The team focuses heavily on academic success with multiple team members in campus organizations such as NHS, Student Council, Fine Arts Council and FFA. We also recently had several members recognized as National Merit Scholars as well as a member selected to serve on the Superintendent's Student Committee.

In addition to academic and performance success, the Bailadoras serve their community in many ways. Past philanthropy projects and organizations supported include Lovepacs-CyFair, Project Linus and Kids Meals, Inc. Our upcoming community service event is the CFISD Police Department’s Trunk or Treat. We invite families to join us at the Berry Center Parking Lot Monday, Oct. 31, 2022 from 5-8pm.
