Community Spotlight: Fulshear Branch Library
Have you checked out the Fulshear Branch Library yet? Located at 6350 GM Library Road, right between Cross Creek Ranch and Fulshear High School, this beautiful new library is a fantastic resource for our community, and we encourage everyone to take advantage of all it has to offer!
A New Beginning
The Fulshear Branch Library, part of Fort Bend County Libraries, opened their doors for a soft opening period on December 18, 2023, followed by a grand opening celebration on January 13, 2024. This impressive two-story building, covering nearly 42,000 square feet, replaces the Bob Lutts Fulshear/Simonton Branch Library, which closed in May 2023. Thanks to support from a 2015 bond election, we now have a vibrant hub to meet the needs of our growing community.
Family-Friendly Spaces
Step inside and you’ll find a library designed with families in mind. With dedicated areas for children, teens, and adults, there’s something for everyone. The library is filled with natural light and boasts lovely views, creating an inviting atmosphere. Here are some features you won’t want to miss:
- Outdoor patio with charging stations for a comfy spot to relax
- Drive-through book return for those on the go
- Community meeting rooms and cozy study spaces
- Puppet theater for little ones to enjoy
- Computer lab offering tech classes and public access
Fun Programs for All Ages
The Fulshear Branch Library is packed with engaging programs. Kids can join in on activities like:
- Mother Goose Time for infants
- Toddler Time for ages 1-3
- Preschool Story Time for ages 3-6
- School-aged programs for children in grades K-8
For adults, there are book clubs, craft groups, and introductory computer classes, perfect for brushing up on skills or learning something new.

- Tuesday: 10 am – 6 pm
- Wednesday: 10 am – 6 pm
- Thursday: 10 am – 9 pm
- Friday: 12 pm – 5 pm
- Saturday: 10 am – 5 pm
- Sunday: CLOSED
