City of Fulshear Opens Applications for Boards and Commissions: Residents Encouraged to Get Involved
The City of Fulshear is currently accepting applications for several key boards and commissions, giving residents the opportunity to play an active role in shaping the city’s future. Applications are open now through April 15, 2025, and are available to individuals who reside within Fulshear city limits.
Whether it’s offering guidance on parks and recreation, advising on zoning and development, or supporting local business growth, city boards and commissions provide a platform for residents to share their voice and contribute to public decision-making.
“Being part of a city board is one of the most direct ways for Fulshear residents to get involved in local government,” said City of Fulshear Mayor Don McCoy. “Your ideas, expertise, and perspective can make a real difference.”
What Are Boards and Commissions?
Boards and commissions are advisory groups composed of volunteer residents. They do not create laws, but they offer informed recommendations to the Fulshear City Council on a wide range of issues—from city planning and economic development to parks, zoning, and community services.
Serving on a board or commission allows residents to:
-
Engage with key city projects and proposals
-
Help shape public spaces and neighborhood development
-
Collaborate with fellow residents and city staff
-
Contribute valuable insights and professional knowledge
