City of Fulshear Announces Photography Contest

June 04 2024

The City of Fulshear is hosting a photography contest, celebrating its local talent and capturing the unique charm and beauty of the area. This opportunity, detailed on Fulshear's official government website, allows amateur and professional photographers alike to showcase their skills and vie for recognition and prizes.

According to the official release, the contest is open to residents of all ages, indicative of the city's commitment to community participation and inclusivity. All submitted photographs must be taken within the City of Fulshear or its extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) to truly celebrate the unique, local surroundings.

Entries can be uploaded via the city's website, with entrants having the opportunity to submit two photographs in each of the contest’s six categories: Nature, Wildlife, People, Places, Black & White, and Fulshear at Work. This diversity of categories offers a comprehensive representation of life in Fulshear and ensures a wide spectrum of perspectives.

The winners will be chosen by the City of Fulshear and have their work displayed on the City's website, social media channels, and potentially in print materials. The selected photographers will also be honored at a City Council meeting.

Looking ahead, the deadline for submissions is looming, with entries closing at 5:00 PM on July 22, 2024. To learn more, view the full contest rules here. Fulshear residents, get ready to seize this opportunity and capture the beauty of your city in a photograph!
