Champions Park Pool Season Ends Sept. 7
For Champions Park families hoping to squeeze in one more afternoon by the water, the clock is ticking on the 2026 pool season. The Champions Park pool will close for the season after Monday, September 7, giving residents one final holiday weekend to swim close to home.
The remaining schedule includes afternoon and evening hours on Saturday, Sunday and Labor Day Monday.
Champions Park Pool Hours for Final Weekend
Residents planning a final trip to the pool should make note of these remaining dates and hours:
- Saturday, September 5: 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Sunday, September 6: 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Monday, September 7: 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Final day of the season
After the pool closes at 8:00 p.m. on Labor Day, the regular 2026 swimming season at Champions Park will be complete.
One Last Labor Day Weekend at the Pool
The timing gives Champions Park residents an easy option for making the most of the long Labor Day weekend, whether that means an evening swim on Saturday or spending part of the holiday itself poolside.
With Houston-area temperatures often remaining warm well beyond Labor Day, the end of neighborhood pool season can feel surprisingly early. Still, the September 7 closing marks the transition from summer schedules into the school-year routine and the beginning of fall activities throughout the community.
Families planning to visit during the final weekend may want to bring sunscreen, plenty of water and everything they need for the afternoon, while continuing to follow all posted Champions Park pool rules.

Children should be actively supervised around the pool, inexperienced swimmers should remain within close reach of a responsible adult, and anyone consuming alcohol should avoid swimming and should never be responsible for supervising children in the water while impaired.
