CFISD Student of the Week Spotlight: Rennell Elementary’s Ryan McIntyre Shines with Integrity and Kindness
In Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, one fourth grader is making a big impression through small, consistent acts of integrity, kindness, and dedication. Ryan McIntyre, a bright and respectful nine-year-old student at Rennell Elementary School, has been named CFISD’s Student of the Week — and his school community couldn’t be prouder.
Teachers at Rennell Elementary applaud Ryan not only for his academic performance, but for the character he brings to the classroom each day. Known for his courtesy and his respectful attitude toward both peers and staff, Ryan demonstrates a sincere eagerness to learn and always gives his best on assignments.
“Ryan is the kind of student who leads by example,” one teacher shared. “His conduct reflects honesty, compassion, and a true love of learning.”
Ryan's favorite subject is math, particularly because he enjoys the interactive ST Math program. When the school day wraps up, you’ll often find him outside enjoying a game of soccer with his dad — a cherished part of his daily routine.

While Ryan is a fan of fun and games like Roblox on his tablet and watching “KPop Demon Hunters” on TV, he also has a heart for helping others. In fact, his dream is to become a teacher one day — a passion sparked by helping his younger brother, Charlie, learn new things at home.
“I want to be a teacher because I already teach my little brother Charlie,” Ryan shared.
Ryan's favorites reflect a vibrant personality: he’s inspired by drawing, moved by music like Imagine Dragons’ “Believer,” and finds joy in spending time with family — which he says is one of the three things he couldn’t live without, along with his dog and his basic needs.
This spotlight from CFISD recognizes more than just academic achievement — it celebrates the everyday values that build strong communities. Ryan’s integrity, love for his family, and passion for learning make him a standout not just at Rennell Elementary, but throughout Cypress.
