CFISD Student of the Week: Lilly Sharer
Salyards Middle School eighth grade student Lilly Sharer is regarded by her teachers for being a star student in and out of the classroom.
School: Salyards Middle School | Age: 14 | Grade: 8
Accomplishments: Sharer is not only a distinguished honor roll student, she also recently earned Honorable Mention All-Star Cast in Salyards UIL One-Act Play production The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. She also holds a first-place finish in the 300-meter hurdles race and is a member of a select soccer team.
Favorite class: “Advanced Theater is my favorite class because it is a place where I can express myself in a safe environment.”
Favorite things to do after class: “Play soccer, hang out with friends, make earrings and write poems.”
Favorite song: “You’re On Your Own, Kid by Taylor Swift.”
Favorite TV show: “Ann With An E. I love that it takes place in the past.”
Favorite movie: “Enola Holmes, because it takes place in the past and I love the costumes.”
What topics/things are you passionate about?: “I am passionate about theater and sports. I love to have a balance and to be able to participate I many different things.”
What inspires you?: “I am inspired by people who are happy with themselves and their lives.”
What three things can’t you live without?: “Family, friends and a space to express myself.”
