Carpenter Center, Himpact PLLC Establish Adopt-a-School Partnership

October 05 2022

Himpact PLLC owner and licensed therapist Kamili Wade-Reescano visited staff at the Carpenter Center on Sept. 26 to officially announce the office’s Adopt-a-School partnership with the campus.

CFISD’s Adopt-a-School program pairs schools with community organizations and business partners to utilize resources of the community to strengthen and enrich the quality of education for students.

In addition to the Carpenter Center’s smaller population and staff size being a more ideal fit for Wade-Reescano’s practice, she said being a community supporter through the lens of a business owner, parent and resident were among the many reasons to partner with the campus.

its official partnership with the campus on Sept. 26.

“It’s important to me to make sure that I am being active in the community where I live,” she said. “Not after something happens in my community and then I react. Being proactive as it not only takes the teachers, but it takes the parents, the community and the businesses, and I fall under those three.”

Soul Singh, Carpenter Center principal, expressed her gratitude for Himpact PLLC, Wade-Reescano  and the partner’s commitment to helping play an integral part in the education process.

“The Carpenter Center is humbled and honored to be adopted by Kamili with Himpact,” Singh said. “Having a community partner who understands the work we do to help our students achieve their greatest potential by creating a therapeutic learning environment is priceless. We are grateful that Himpact recognizes the depth and breadth of the life changing work our team does every day. Thank you Kamili with Himpact for choosing us and being a tremendous support for our humble campus.”
