Captain Woytek Appointed as City of Katy’s New Chief of Police
At the Katy City Council meeting held on the evening of December 9, 2024, Captain Woytek was officially appointed as the Chief of Police for the City of Katy, marking a significant milestone in his 30-year career with the Katy Police Department. A Katy native, Chief Woytek’s law enforcement journey began in 1994 when he joined the Katy Police Department as a patrolman. Over the years, he advanced through the ranks, serving in a variety of roles, including K9 handler and patrol sergeant, before rising to the position of patrol captain. His promotion to Chief of Police follows a distinguished career dedicated to serving and protecting the Katy community.
