Canyon Gate Halloween Event Brings Trunk ‘r Treat Fun to the Rec Center Oct. 30
Halloween weekend will get a festive start in Canyon Gate this year, with a neighborhood celebration planned for Friday, Oct. 30, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Canyon Gate Rec Center.
The Canyon Gate Halloween Event will include Trunk ‘r Treat activities for neighborhood children, and organizers are now looking for residents who want to help turn the evening into a memorable community event.
One of the biggest needs is for Trunk ‘r Treat volunteers willing to decorate a vehicle or pop-up canopy and create a simple game for children to play. Candy for participating stations will be provided, so volunteers can focus on decorating, choosing an activity and having some fun with the families who stop by.
More Ways Canyon Gate Residents Can Help
Residents do not have to host a Trunk ‘r Treat station to get involved.
The community is also seeking candy donations, volunteers to assist with setup and tear-down, and people willing to help run activities during the event.
Residents and local businesses can also support the Halloween celebration by sponsoring the event or helping connect organizers with a potential sponsor.
Community events of this size often depend on neighbors contributing in different ways. Some residents may have the time and creativity to decorate a trunk, while others may prefer dropping off candy, helping for an hour or connecting the event with a local business willing to participate.
Each contribution helps build an event that families can enjoy close to home.
How to Volunteer for the Canyon Gate Halloween Event
Anyone interested in volunteering, donating, sponsoring or learning more can visit the Canyon Gate onsite office, call 346-371-4309 or email propertymanager@canyongateatcincoranch.com.
With the event scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, residents have time to start planning trunk decorations, games and costumes — or simply decide how they would like to lend a hand.
For families, Trunk ‘r Treat offers a familiar neighborhood setting for Halloween fun. For volunteers, it is also a chance to be part of the group making that experience possible for Canyon Gate children and their families.
