Boys’ Water Polo Athletes Earn 2023 All-District 17-6A League Honors
District 17-6A boys’ water polo coaches recently released the 2023 All-District 17-6A Boys’ Water Polo Team, following the conclusion of each team’s season in the UIL playoffs.
Cypress Creek High School, which captured the inaugural district championship, earned two league superlatives. Sophomore Massey Hyde was voted the Newcomer of the Year and Head Coach Jeff Chandler was named the Coach of the Year for a second year in a row.
Cypress Creek High School sophomore Massey Hyde was voted the District 17-6A boys’ water polo team Goalkeeper of the Year. Jersey Village High School senior Ryan Orsak was named the league’s Most Valuable Player and Cy-Fair High School senior Michael Cassidy was voted Goalkeeper of the Year.
