Scams have been going on forever but now that we have the internet it’s become easier than ever. Precinct 4’s website has an entire section about how to recognize the many types of scams. They also provide a list of resources to contact if you think you have been scammed. Always remember never give out your personal information if someone you don’t know calls you and asks for SSN’s or bank account numbers. Even if what they’re proposing seems too good to be true. Because it’s not true.
